Marie Claire Magazine US App Reviews

I was originally skeptical about transferring my remaining paper magazine subscription to digital; however after seeing how easily I could scroll through my magazine on my iPhone 6s Plus I am super happy I accepted the offer! I may think about going digital ft all my magazines :) its much less clutter and much more "Mari Kondo".

I purchased a monthly subscription and the latest magazine did load, but when trying to open the magazine, there is only a black screen. Im using an iPad mini with the latest OS, btw. Restarting the app or the iPad doesnt fix the problem. Update: it works when you delete it, reload it and watch the issue being downloaded and unzipped without letting the screen go to lock or leaving the app.

I cancelled my subscription. It was so frustrating to get half way through the magazine and have the app crash yet again! I had high hopes every time there was an update, but it never fixed the issues...giant fail Marie Claire:(

this new update is awful. i would much rather have a larger file to download than a small one and a magazine that takes *forever* to load each section. i sincerely hope that the next update will rectify this issue otherwise i might just have to give up on marie-claire. :(

I always have trouble with this app! I wasnt even able to read my august issue because it wont unzip!

Rip off! I paid for a subscription, but after trying 3 times to download and open the magazine I am looking at a blank screen. Vogue, InStyle, Bazaar, Elle, etc all work beautifully. Why cant Marie Claire get it right?

Scam, paid for the print subscription and you want me to pay FULL newsstand price for tablet, come on. This is not free as advertised!

Every other magazine does it? Why is Marie Claire being so lame?

Paid for and downloaded March issue a dozen times and still only left with a black screen when I open the mag. No other mag I read has this problem - may I have my 3.99 back ??

Unlike many other fashion magazines, Marie Claire doesnt have a free iPad download option for subscribers to the actual magazine. Are you expecting me to travel with both the iPad and the magazines? Whats the point? Its 2013, people!

Have never had this issue with any other magazine, they all give you the iPad version if youre a print subscriber... Get it together Marie Claire!!

App always crashes & u have to end up deleting it and reinstalling it every time theres a new issue out. Which means u have to download all the previous magazines again & the downloads are stupid slow!

I have spent an entire day removing and reinstalling and it still wont work! Asking for a refund. :(

After successfully converting every other magazine subscription to my new iPad, I became so fed up with Marie Claire and their request for more money for the digital version. I will be taking my business elsewhere, this is ridiculous.

The app worked fine until I upgraded to iOS6. After that it failed to recognize me as a subscriber. After numerous attempts to contact customer support I still am not able to read the magazine through the app. In addition, I have to pay more for an ipad subscription when I purchased the hard copy.... Not good!

This app needs more testing. Crashes and very very slow. Not to mention Hearst needs to get in with the times. You have to pay EXTRA for digital subscription - regardless of if you already have a print subscription. Who does that?

Not sure why I would pay more for IPad edition when I already pay for the hard copy. My other magazines DO NOT require a second subscription.
